Old Village Hall

The School, the Institute and the Old Village Hall

Built as the first Derry Hill School - the building was later used as The Institute and later the Village Hall. The building was sold and converted to a house - with the Lansdowne Hall (new Village Hall) being opened at the end of the 1990's.

1950's

1950 and the agreement is made to provide hot school dinners at the Old Village Hall. Children and their teachers would walk from Derry Hill School to the hall for their lunch
